I need to make more Black friends.
I’m tired of having to “explain” who I am. No one else seems to have to deal with this.
It’s frustrating.
Lord knows i know how THIS feels. don’t worry kiddo, it only gets better, and fortunately enough, black kids like us are popping up like wildflowers these days, so don’t get too frustrated, its only a matter of time before we won’t need to explain ourselves anymore. i’ve just come across the blessing of having some extremely understanding people in my life, but i do come across my fair share of racial issues. the only downside is that because white people like you so much, or can relate to you on a basis other than knowing that you’re black, the racism is more closeted and behind your back than how blatant it can usually be. however, its few and far between if you just accept everything and surround yourself with positive people. that’s what i did, and believe me, it gets better.
